Golden Nuggets

Ya know, everyone has a story. Everyone. Every Christian has a testimony. Some are more dramatic than others, but each and every one has something someone can relate to. I’m really beginning to understand that we all do truly have a purpose, a position we alone can fill. In building that testimony, God may take us through very different training programs to accomplish his will. Each person has a Spirit man, but that Spirit man is as different as the human face that comes along with it. For the busy person, learning how to wait on the Lord and learning patience. For the one who just flows through life, they may be thrust into the business of life in order to depend on God to work it out. Each is treated differently. God is so awesome! He knows that – like children – each of us respond to discipline and direction differently. Some of us are more “thick headed” and want to depend on our own strength longer before we surrender all to Him. Some of us respond quickly, but either don’t follow through or are slow to do so.  Either way, he knows exactly what each of us need and He works with each of us on a level we will respond to.

For this reason, this is why we never want to compare ourselves to others. We tell our kids not to compare themselves to others. Why? The fact of the matter is, we have no idea what is going on behind the closed doors of another’s heart. Only God does. Someone may look like they have everything going on, but the fact of the matter is, simply-everyone has their own sack of rocks. It is up to us to hand the sack over to our loving Father, let him mold and change us, and He’ll give it back in the form of golden nuggets. While He’s working with our rocks, it is up to us to go on about our lives, walking, to the best of our best ability, in obedience, and not worry about how He’s coming along with our rocks.

So many times, we get so caught up and impatient with what God’s doing in us, we loose sight of the fact that there is a lost and dying world all around us that is going to Hell if we don’t take our eyes off of ourselves and focus them outward. In doing so, we will soon find that God Almighty will hand us back, what used to be, our sack of rocks (but is now gold) and before we know it-the things that used to drive us nuts will no longer have an effect on us. The question is will you go back each and every day and ask Him “How’s it coming?” or will you hand it over to Him, let it go and not worry about it and let Him use you in a different manner while He takes care of your rocks? After some time, He will bring it back to you fresh and new and you won’t even realize the change happened until after it’s done. Then you thank the Father and continue to praise Him as he continues to work in and through you.

Hi everyone, I wanted to take a minute to clarify something in the beginning of my blog. When I mentioned people can be “thick headed” and some of us want to do our own thing, etc., I wanted to make it clear that our Sprit man is perfect and that when I’m referring to being “thick headed” or doing things in our own strength, I’m talking about our human will-which is not perfect. The more we depend on the Lord, the stronger that Spirit man becomes. Just wanted to make that clear. Thanks for taking the time to read it and I hope it blesses you! :)
