No More Dry Seasons
As I was preparing for Sunday morning service I was prompted in my spirit to write a blog to give you a Word… a taste of what God is going to speak to us this Sunday at Covenant Connections Church, Flowery Branch. I want you to read this blog and allow Holy Spirit to speak to you and prepare your hearts for the message this Sunday!! I heard the Lord say on Tuesday… “No More Dry Season”! I believe that there is a place in God where we can live in total victory ALL THE TIME! I donʼt believe that Jesus would die to give us life more abundantly than the world, then choose for us to be up and down and in and out of living the victorious life. The abundant life is the ability to live in victory throughout every season of your life. I believe this with all of my heart and the Bible backs up my theological view as well. So what is the problem. Why were you on fire for God 3 months ago but now you are dry and parched in your walk with God? Why, during the last season of your life were you full of faith and expectancy, but now you are ready to throw in the towel on your relationship with the Lord and your church.
Why were you involved in church and ministry just a few weeks ago but now you have backed off from all ministry outlets and your vision for your ministry has dried up and blowing away in the winds of the “valley of dry bones?” The answer is… you have gotten to far from the water. Psa. 1:1-3 says, “Blessed is the man, Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper. You have allowed yourself to change seats. You use to praise God through every circumstance but now you have become critical and questioning. You use to sit in His presence and bask in His love, but now you are to busy sitting at the mall…the ball fields (oh me, sorry Lord)… and listening to other peoples opinions about what you should do or not do. The well you are drawing from has changed. You serve the same God. He has the same promises for your life. He still wants to bless you and be a part of your life, but you have changed wells. You have gotten to far from the water! So what now? Should you quit? Should you throw in the towel and go back to living in sin? No!!! Listen to what Job 14:7-9 says, “For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, Yet at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant.” I want to tell you that if you will draw near unto God that He WILL draw near unto you! I smell the scent of water! God is ready to poor out His Spirit upon ALL flesh. He is ready to refresh us and bring us into an everlasting season. A season of blessing, visions, and promise. I smell the scent of water! I sense roots in your spirit are growing again! I hear things cracking, snapping, and popping! It is the sound of your roots reaching out for the water of His Spirit! You can enter into a place of No More Dry Seasons! Itʼs your choice. Pull your seat back up to His table and refuse to leave. He is sitting on the well… He is waiting on you to come!
