This Saturday we will also be feeding the hungry in our community through our food pantry. We always need help in this area and encourage you to come help out. Food pantry opens at 10AM.
We look forward to seeing everyone that can make it out this weekend! Have a blessed day and we love you!

30 Day Challenge – Speak Positive Week 2
This week I am doing really well. I have gone from trying to speak positive to not even thinking about it. I have however been able to get my point across when I have something negative to say in a positive manner. I did pretty well this week until Saturday during the Georgia/Georgia Yech game. Yes, I said “Yech”.
I am being changed by this challenge and I am so excited about it. It is not nearly as difficult as it was the first week. It seems as though I feel smarter. I believe I am so used to speaking without truly thinking it through. I now find myself pausing before I speak to truly examine what it is I am going to say.
I really enjoyed everyone encouraging me and I am excited about everyone who is taking this challenge with me. Stay strong and I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
Sunday 28th Sermon is Available
We have just added Sunday Nov. 28th’s sermon to the website for your viewing. The title of the sermon is “There’s a Hooker in The House“. It was a powerful and eye opening sermon that was ordained by God. As Pastor David says in his message he had something prepared but God intervened and gave him a now word for our church.

God is Good
Someone asked tonight in bible college how do you explain the times when God isn’t good (in reference to finances)… well that’s just the thing, God is good He is always good… there is never a time when He is not Good, the explanation is not that God isn’t Good…, our bad situations are not based on “God hasn’t been good” it’s based on the choices and decisions we as a fleshly nature make. The decisions we make today determine the future, if our present isn’t what we think it should be, DON’T BLAME GOD, look back and determine what decisions were made that resulted in the present bad situation and change the life paradigm so the future is different and then give God the Glory for being good and giving you wisdom and provision! There’s a Hooker in the House…
It is in the book of Luke chapter number seven when it all happened. Jesus was sitting in his church service with the pharisees when she walked in. A sinner woman came and bowed herself at the feet of Jesus and began to wash His feet with her tears and dried them with her hair. I mean can you imagine… right in the middle of the church service and in walks a sinner woman. I wonder how many eyes turned her way in judgement and anger. I wonder how many thoughts of rage because in walks this sinner woman and she has messed up their church service. I am afraid this is the place where we have ended up as the 21st century church. We have invited Jesus into our home but we don’t know what to do with Him once we get Him there. We drink our coffee, watch our videos, laugh at the preachers jokes… all the while their He sits… waiting, wondering when or even if the focus will turn to Him. He sits there patiently, expectant, desiring to quench the thirsting of our souls, but most of the time we come and go and we never require anything of Jesus as He sits in our midst. This is what happened in Luke seven. Jesus sat in the room with all the church people and nothing happened… nothing happened until the hooker came into the house. Read More…

30 Day Challenge – Week 1
Wow, so I am not going to lie on a church website, not that I would lie on any website….I lost my challenge on day one. I have to sit in traffic on Monday’s so I didn’t even make it past the morning of the first day. I am sticking to the challenge even though I have failed. I have noticed how watching what I say and being more conscious of my words has changed me.
I believe God honors my efforts. I also believe speaking positive has influenced my mind. I can honestly say that I am thinking more positive. When we have “bad” days it’s easy to start feeling beat up, but we can over come by the blood of Jesus and pray through it!
My prayer is that my flesh dies, my spirit soars, and that I am lead by Christ. I pray I don’t speak, walk, or dwell on thoughts that aren’t lead by Holy Spirit.
I want to challenge you to try to give this a try for one day. Don’t speak anything negative for 24 hours. It won’t be easy, but you will recognize how much you really say that isn’t so pleasant.
Your encouragement and prayers are welcome! I would also like to know if you accept the challenge. Let me know how you do.
Ryan Lucia

The House Of Judah Sermon Is Available
Hello all! We have recently added Sunday Nov. 14th’s sermon to the website. Share it with your friends and leave us feedback. We love to hear testimonies and praise reports on how God’s message has touched your life. Sunday was a message directed to the church and it was extremely encouraging. If you need the cliff notes Pastor David was kind enough to add it to our blogs yesterday.
The House of Judah
I am so excited about what the Lord is doing at Covenant Connections Church, Flowery Branch! I can’t help but hear in my spirit every time I think of Covenant Connections Church, “The House of Judah”. So I studied the life of Judah and found 6 distinct facts about Judah. I sense God has placed a mandate on Covenant Connections Church to become like Judah and apply those 6 facts about Judah into our daily existence. I preached on these 6 facts on Sunday November the 14th 2010 but I think the content is good enough to reiterate in this blog.
Remember, Judah means praise. Every fact that is lised below derives from the desire, willingness, and action of praising the Father no matter what the situations is. The first step in becoming the House of Judah is praise.

30 Day Challenge – Speak Positive
Hello, since this is my fist blog I guess an intro is in order. My name is Ryan Lucia and I am 31 years old married to my beautiful wife Stephenie. Together we have an amazing daughter named Evie that is already brain washed to say “Go Dawgs” every time she sees a football game. I am extremely blessed!
Enough about who I am, lets get to he point….
Drawing You To The Secret Place
Here I go with my first blog! I’m so pumped, I’ve been wanting to blog for a while and when this opportunity came up I jumped right on it! We are just coming off of the unveiling of COVENANT CONNECTIONS CHURCH, it is still so surreal but so exciting. In the natural we are headed right into a holiday season, lots of food, fun, and family. I believe that is where we are headed with our church too. A time of celebration as the body of Christ and feasting, as we experience this newness. The time change was also the midnight before the unveiling and it is true in spiritual as well. It is a NEW HOUR and things are changing. He is taking us higher!
Veterans Day
Every year on November 11th we Honor military veterans. Our soldiers sacrifice family and our way of living to protect this great country and the freedom we have. This is a small token to just let all the veterans in our church know “we appreciate you!” Many of us do not understand fully the sacrifice you paid. Many of us don’t know the sacrifice your families paid. We honor you and your family today and thank God for you.
Please remember to let veterans know that we appreciate them and love them. One day a year is not enough to show our gratitude but we can do it right by showing God’s love.
We found this video and though we would share it with you…..
Living in the Land of In-Between
How to survive the days while you wait on His Promise.
If you ever traveled on highway 78 from Athens towards Stone Mountain, you have seen the signs for Between, a tiny hamlet nestled in between those two larger cities. And depending on how fast you are traveling, the time you spend in Between will vary, but probably not by much because it is one of those one traffic light towns. You are “in” Between for just a moment.
The natural things do speak of the invisible and we all have our “in” Between times in our journey on earth. We have many times of transition in our natural life—graduations, weddings, children, career changes etc. We also have times of transition in our spiritual journey—the mountaintop experiences, the low valleys and the desert. Most of us cling to something or someone to make it through those times and, for many believers, it might be a Word of promise that brings hope; anything that helps us to keep treading water in the deep end of life.
Psalm 37 talks about “living in the land of the living,” and I’ve come to wonder if most Christians have a clue of what that place is. I am convinced that it is not a place of financial prosperity, but rather a place of spiritual prosperity that rules one’s heart despite the circumstances of life. I’m still “in” Between so I’m still looking for it!
I have been “in” Between for three years now, going from a wonderful church family that we invested years in ministry with to our new church, Covenant Connections Church. God said it was time for us to attend a local church where our teens went to school so we said “goodbye” and set out for the promised land. When we set out on this journey, I left a ministry position, a career position and many dear friends (very secure relationships). We left for a promise, and we are still waiting for the complete fulfillment of that promise. I cling to the hope, that Word, that sure thing. The Bible says that “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1). My friend Vinnie Gaglio said it to me like this, “Faith is holding into nothing until God turns it into something!”(To get the full impact of when Big Vinnie said it, you have to say it with a NewYorker’s accent, “Faith is holdin onto nuttin until Gawd turns it into sumpin”)
This blog is for anyone who is going on a transition and feels stuck “in” Between.Join me as I share my journey and reveal the joys and struggles that come along the way. My name is Lu Allison, and I am ‘in” Between. So, I am “holding on to nothing until God turns it into something!”
